Front Cover: Reductive anti-Dizincation of Arylacetylenes (Chem. Asian J. 12/2024)

  •  18 June 2024

Graphical Abstract

Description unavailable

anti-1,2-Dizincation of arylacetylenes has been achieved through electron injection using sodium dispersion and immediate transmetalation with a zinc chloride TMEDA complex. The resulting dizincated alkenes then undergo the Negishi cross-coupling with the aid of additional zinc chloride to yield multi-substituted alkenes with high stereoselectivity. The overall transformation provides a new approach for anti-selective diarylation of alkynes. More details can be found in article number e202400384 by Hideki Yorimitsu and co-workers.
