Asymmetric Supercapacitors Based on ZnCo2O4 Nanohexagons and Orange Peel Derived Activated Carbon Electrodes
- Chemistry – An Asian Journal
-  30 April 2024
Graphical Abstract
The asymmetric supercapacitor is fabricated using ZnCo2O4 nanohexagon and orange peel-derived activated carbon. The nanohexagon was prepared by a double hydroxide method without employing a structure-directing agent. The chemical activation of carbon is done using KOH. The fabricated cell voltage ranges up to 1.2 V with a capacitance of 64 Fg−1 at 0.25 Ag−1 current density and capacitance retention up to 84.61 % after 10000 cycles.
[13C+D] Double Labeling with Calcium Carbide: Incorporation of Two Labels in One Step
- Chemistry – An Asian Journal
-  18 December 2022
Graphical Abstract
Introduction of deuterium labels in organic molecules significantly complicates NMR studies. To solve this scientific issue, Ca13C2 and D2O were proposed as efficient labeling reagents to incorporate two labels in one step into a series of selected substrates. This newly incorporated 13C-atom attached to D-label facilitates analysis of NMR spectra and allows to detect and assign D-label.
Advances in the Synthesis of Chemically Recyclable Polymers
- Chemistry – An Asian Journal
-  9 January 2023
Graphical Abstract
In recent years, significant progress has been made in the design of recyclable polymers, enabling the regulation of the “polymerization-depolymerization” equilibrium and closed-loop recycling under mild conditions. This review summarizes the closed-loop recycling of poly(sulfur) esters, polycarbonates, polyacetals, polyolefins, and poly(disulfide) polymers, illustrates the challenges in this area, and provides an outlook on future directions.
Recent Advancements on Metal‐Free Vicinal Diamination of Alkenes: Synthetic Strategies and Mechanistic Insights
- Chemistry – An Asian Journal
-  3 March 2023
Graphical Abstract
This review summarized the breakthroughs in synthetic methodologies and mechanistic studies documented especially over the inter/intramolecular vicinal diamination of activated/unactivated alkenes with electron-rich or deficient diverse nitrogen sources. These unprecedented strategies predominantly involved iodine-based reagents/catalysts, electrochemical and photoredox catalysts which resentful the interest of synthetic chemists due to their impressive role as flexible, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly reagents, resulting in synthetically fascinating molecules and catalysis as well.
